Yoga

Yoga is about creating a balance of both strength and flexibility in the body, a balance between vibrant energy and quiet stillness, and ultimately a balance in life as a whole. In my classes and private sessions, we mindfully work through physical postures and breath work to help cultivate a focused, calm mind as well as a strong, flexible body. I offer modifications to meet the needs of those present, and I specialize in gentle yoga with therapeutic elements, as well as restorative yoga.

Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness and meditation training is about learning how to be present and cultivate a more clear, calm, and focused mind. I teach a variety of grounded techniques and can help you work toward deepening your practice, so you may find peace in stressful moments to come. Benefits include: lower blood pressure, reduction in chronic pain and stress levels, improved mental concentration, improved confidence, better sleep and an increase in overall enjoyment of life. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. Private sessions and group classes available.

Coaching & Counseling

The one constant in life is change, and adapting can be difficult for all of us. Whether you need someone to just listen or provide gentle guidance for life changes, losses, depression, anxiety or other challenges, the confidential ear of a trained counselor can help ease the stress of daily life. I’ve worked with individuals of all ages, from children to the elderly, and my professional experience spans from personal counseling to corporate environments for employees and managers alike. I’m here to listen and support you as we break down the barriers that are holding you back.

Nutrition & Wellness

I work with a concept called bio-individuality, which focuses on your personal make-up to determine what foods support your unique needs, your lifestyle, your personal preferences and your background. I work with individuals, as well as groups, to develop specific wellness programs where you’ll set and accomplish goals, explore new foods, understand and reduce cravings, increase your energy, and feel better in your body. We will discuss your unique situation in depth and determine how I can help. Although I am based in Pittsburgh, PA, I can work with you no matter where you live.

Finding Your Purpose

8 week program

This program is for you if:

  • If you're looking to “find yourself” or you feel that who you are “on the outside” is different than who you are “inside.”
  • You’re looking to find more meaning in life, perhaps personally, professionally, or both.
  • You might not be sure where to start, in terms of being happier and more fulfilled, but that is your general goal.
  • You want to continue to grow as a person.

I can help by:

  • Offering meditation and mindfulness practices to help you quiet the chatter in your mind.
  • Offering coaching and counseling to talk through challenges and blocks
  • Offering motivational and positive psychology exercises to boost confidence and help you find clarity
  • Helping you see different perspectives.
  • Offering journaling assignments to help you find yourself and your purpose.

How Would It Work?

This is an 8 week program. We'd meet face to face every other week, for a one hour session. We'd talk, and I'd create assignments or "homework" for you. You'd give me an email check in on the off weeks to let me know how you're progressing.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost of the program is $420 total, which includes a support book and email notes after each session. (I choose the book after I get to know you a bit - around week 2-3). If you don't want to pay $420 up front, you're welcome to split it. $210 in week 1, and $210 in week 4.

Where Are The Sessions?

The face to face sessions are held at my home office, in Franklin Park. I'm conveniently located minutes off of the Mt. Nebo exit off I-79, minutes off of the I-279 Camp Horne exit, minutes from Wexford area. I'm happy to schedule you at off-peak hours so you avoid traffic, if that's a concern. Also, Skype sessions are available - you can meet with me in the comfort of your own home or office!

What Happens After The Sessions Are Complete?

Many people continue on to the Living your Purpose program, Navigating Change program, or they simply have sessions with me after the program, on a monthly basis, just to check in and stay on track. The cost of monthly sessions after you've completed the program, is $90 for an hour of face to face, with weekly email support.

Living Your Purpose

8 week program 

This program is right for you if:

  • You know yourself well.
  • You already have goals or a "life purpose" you want to move toward/fulfill.
  • You might need some help with motivation, implementation, staying or track or adapting your vision to make it accessible in all areas of your life.

I can help by:

  • Offering meditation and mindfulness practices.
  • Offering motivational and positive psychology exercises to keep you going
  • Offering help with "looking at the big picture", organizing your life, creating stepping stones to goals that you might have, helping you see different perspectives around your goals/purpose.
  • Offering journaling assignments to help you continue to have clarity about what you want in life.
  • Being an accountability partner, holding you accountable to move forward in the ways you want and need to.

How Would It Work?

This is an 8 week program. We'd meet face to face every other week, for a one hour session. We'd talk, and I'd create assignments or "homework" for you. You'd give me an email check in on the off weeks to let me know how you're progressing.

Navigating Change

12 week program

This program is right for you if:

  • You are in the midst of, or foresee major life changes (moving, change of jobs, divorce, marriage, empty nest, having or losing children, death in family, or other circumstances).
  • You perhaps feel challenged by or overwhelmed by those changes.
  • You might feel the need to talk, or not talk, but just learn skills to assist you in adapting to or moving through the change. Perhaps you feel differently each day or each week.

I can help by:

  • Offering meditation and mindfulness practices to calm and soothe your nervous system and emotions.
  • Offering gratitude practices to help you maintain sight of the positive aspects of your life; we will find them!
  • Offering help with "looking at the big picture", helping you see different perspectives. around your goals/purpose.
  • Offering journaling assignments to help you express emotions and mental roadblocks around the change, and move through them.
  • Being a listening ear, on the days you need that.
  • Offering a strengths-finder approach, so you feel stronger and more resilient.

How Would It Work?

This is a 12 week program. We'd meet face to face every other week, for a one hour session. We'd talk, and I'd create assignments or "homework" for you. You'd give me an email check in on the off weeks to let me know how you're progressing.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost of the program is $630 total, which includes a support book and email notes after each session. (I choose the book after I get to know you a bit - around week 2-3). If you don't want to pay $630 up front, you're welcome to split it. $315 in week 1, and $315 in week 6.
